PDB entry 1fi5 (supersedes 1ggs)
NMR STRUCTURE OF THE C TERMINAL DOMAIN OF CARDIAC TROPONIN C BOUND TO THE N TERMINAL DOMAIN OF CARDIAC TROPONIN I.
The structure was published by Gasmi-Seabrook, G.M., Howarth, J.W., Finley, N., et al., Brito, R.M., Solaro, R.J., and Rosevear, P.R., in 1999 in a paper entitled "Solution structures of the C-terminal domain of cardiac troponin C free and bound to the N-terminal domain of cardiac troponin I." (abstract).
The structure was determined using NMR spectroscopy and deposited in 2000.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.
The PDB entry contains the structure of PROTEIN (TROPONIN C). This molecule has the UniProt identifier P09860 (TNNC1_CHICK). The sample contained 81 residues which is < 90% of the natural sequence. Out of 81 residues 81 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.
It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.
The molecule is most likely monomeric.
