BACILLUS CIRCULANS STRAIN 251 CYCLODEXTRIN GLYCOSYLTRANSFERASE IN COMPLEX WITH MALTOHEXAOSE

The structure was published by Uitdehaag, J.C., van Alebeek, G.J., van Der Veen, B.A., Dijkhuizen, L., and Dijkstra, B.W., in 2000 in a paper entitled "Structures of maltohexaose and maltoheptaose bound at the donor sites of cyclodextrin glycosyltransferase give insight into the mechanisms of transglycosylation activity and cyclodextrin size specificity." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.48 Å and deposited in 2000.

The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.

The PDB entry contains the structure of PROTEIN (CYCLODEXTRIN GLYCOSYLTRANSFERASE). This molecule has the UniProt identifier P43379 (CDGT2_BACCI)search. The sample contained 686 residues which is 100% of the natural sequence. Out of 686 residues 686 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.

It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.

The molecule is most likely monomeric.
