The structure was published by Essen, L.O., Perisic, O., Katan, M., Wu, Y., Roberts, M.F., and Williams, R.L., in 1997 in a paper entitled "Structural mapping of the catalytic mechanism for a mammalian phosphoinositide-specific phospholipase C." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.3 Å and deposited in 1996.
