The structure was published by Uitdehaag, J.C., Kalk, K.H., van Der Veen, B.A., Dijkhuizen, L., and Dijkstra, B.W., in 1999 in a paper entitled "The cyclization mechanism of cyclodextrin glycosyltransferase (CGTase) as revealed by a gamma-cyclodextrin-CGTase complex at 1.8-A resolution." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 1.78 Å and deposited in 1999.
