The structure was published by Smith, G.M., Alexander, R.S., Christianson, D.W., et al., Randall, W.C., Baldwin, J.J., and Habecker, C.N., in 1994 in a paper entitled "Positions of His-64 and a bound water in human carbonic anhydrase II upon binding three structurally related inhibitors." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 1.6 Å and deposited in 1993.

The experimental data on which the structure is based was not deposited.
