NEW INSIGHTS INTO INHIBITOR DESIGN FROM THE CRYSTAL STRUCTURE AND NMR STUDIES OF E. COLI GAR TRANSFORMYLASE IN COMPLEX WITH BETA-GAR AND 10-FORMYL-5,8,10-TRIDEAZAFOLIC ACID.

The structure was published by Greasley, S.E., Yamashita, M.M., Cai, H., Benkovic, S.J., Boger, D.L., and Wilson, I.A., in 1999 in a paper entitled "New insights into inhibitor design from the crystal structure and NMR studies of Escherichia coli GAR transformylase in complex with beta-GAR and 10-formyl-5,8,10-trideazafolic acid." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.1 Å and deposited in 1999.

The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.

This PDB entry contains multiple copies of the structure of GLYCINAMIDE RIBONUCLEOTIDE TRANSFORMYLASE.

It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.

The molecule most likely forms homodimers.
