The structure was published by Sugawara, H., Yamamoto, H., Shibata, N., et al., Miyake, C., Yokota, A., and Kai, Y., in 1999 in a paper entitled "Crystal structure of carboxylase reaction-oriented ribulose 1, 5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase from a thermophilic red alga, Galdieria partita." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.4 Å and deposited in 1998.
