The structure was published by Stowell, M.H., McPhillips, T.M., Rees, D.C., Soltis, S.M., Abresch, E., and Feher, G., in 1997 in a paper entitled "Light-induced structural changes in photosynthetic reaction center: implications for mechanism of electron-proton transfer." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.2 Å and deposited in 1997.

The experimental data on which the structure is based was not deposited.
