What happened to the EuroCarbDB website?

The EuroCarbDB project was an EU-funded design study for a technical framework, which provided sophisticated, freely accessible, open-source informatics tools and databases to support glycobiology and glycomics research. The pilot project ended in 2009 but efforts to obtain renewed funding have unfortunately not been successful. The EuroCarbDB website was hosted by the Protein Data Bank in Europe at EMBL-EBI but has now been discontinued. However, a number of former partners in the EuroCarbDB project have developed or continue to provide useful resources for the glycobiology and glycomics communities (some of which are direct spin-offs of EuroCarbDB).

This page provides links to these resources. For more information about the EuroCarbDB project, please contact Dr. Stuart Haslam, Imperial College, London.
