Accommodation, Dining and Conference
Facilities
The accommodation, dining and conference facilities
are all located at Homerton College, Hills Road, Cambridge.
The railway station is about a 15 minute walk from the
college or a couple of minutes by taxi. All rooms are
single and en suite and will be available from the afternoon
of 19 September with check out on the morning of 24
September. The cost of all the facilities and meals
has been covered by the enrollment fee (except any telephone
line costs).
Travelling to Cambridge
The closest airport to Cambridge is London Stansted
which should be easy to reach for most European delegates
and has direct rail and bus links in to Cambridge. It
is also possible to take a taxi.
For those delegates travelling from further afield
we would recommend you fly into London Heathrow rather
than London Gatwick. This is only because it is more
straightforward to travel on to Cambridge from Heathrow.
The most efficient way of arriving in Cambridge from
Heathrow is to take the Heathrow Shuttle train into
Paddington Station and then use the underground to travel
to Kings Cross Station from where there is a regular
fast train link direct to Cambridge. Alternatively take
the underground all the way from Heathrow to Kings Cross
Station. It is also possible to take an airport bus
but this can be very time consuming depending on the
time of day. You can travel from Gatwick similarly (shuttle
train to Victoria Station and then on to Kings Cross)
but it takes substantially longer.
