Target 10: Trimeric form of the TBEV envelope protein

From: Felix Rey and Stephane Bressanelli (LVMS-CNRS, Gif-sur-Yvette, France)

The envelope protein (entry 1SVB_A), which is a dimer at the surface of the tick-borne encephalitis virus (TBEV) particle, becomes a trimer at acid pH. This conformational change induces membrane fusion during cell infection. Docking may assume three-fold symmetry in the trimer, and ignore the C-terminal domain of the protein, which moves substantially during the transition.


Note: the models should have three chains labeled A, B and C.
