IPD-MHC Database

This IPD-MHC RAT Database is intended to provide information about loci and alleles of the RT1 complex, the major histocompatibility complex of the laboratory rat (Rattus norvegicus). The various database entries are thoroughly controlled and include only full length sequences. It should be noted that the complete genomic sequence of the RT1 complex is available and is derived from a single haplotype, namely the RT1n haplotype of the BN inbred rat strain.

Information about the various inbred rat strains and their availability can be found at the homepage of the Institut für Versuchstierkunde und Zentrales Tierlaboratorium, Medizinische Hochschule Hannover, Germany.
