IPD-MHC Database
Canines (DLA)
It
is essential to have a consistent and universal nomenclature for
MHC alleles, and to facilitate this, a Canine MHC Nomenclature Committee
has been established under the auspices of the International Society
for Animal Genetics (ISAG). This committee reviews all nucleotide
sequences as they are produced and assigns appropriate allele names.
We have listed all the currently known alleles,
as nucleotide sequence alignments, for DLA class I and class II
loci in the following tables. New nomenclature is used where possible,
and tables of previous equivalents are given. Accession numbers
and references for published sequences are listed.
The alignments used have been curated by;
