Description

Bromo adjacent to zinc finger 1A (also known as ACF1) is a component of the ACF complex, an ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complex, that regulates spacing of nucleosomes using ATP to generate evenly spaced nucleosomes along the chromatin [PMID: 10880450, PMID: 11447119]. Bromodomains are 110 amino acid long domains, that are found in many chromatin associated proteins. Bromodomains can interact specifically with acetylated lysine [PMID: 11080160, PMID: 11911891].
