Homologous Superfamily

Haemocyanin C-terminal domain superfamily (IPR036848)

Short name: Haemocyanin_C_sf

Overlapping entries

This antiparallel beta sandwich domain occurs in the C-terminal of mollusc haemocyanins, which are copper-containing oxygen carriers occurring freely dissolved in the hemolymph of many mollusks and arthropods. Each mollusc haemocyanin contains several globular oxygen binding functional units. Each unit consists of an alpha-helical copper binding domain (IPR002227) and an antiparallel beta sandwich domain [PMID: 12767214, PMID: 9614947].
