Homologous Superfamily

GTF2I-like repeat superfamily (IPR036647)

Short name: GTF2I-like_rpt_sf

Overlapping entries

This region of sequence similarity is found up to six times in a variety of proteins including general transcription factor II-I (GTF2I). It has been suggested that this may be a DNA binding domain [PMID: 9774679, PMID: 10198167].

The structure of each GTF2I repeat is composed of an alpha(2)-beta-alpha-beta-alpha fold arranged in two layers (alpha/beta) with antiparallel beta-ribbon.
