Description

IFT27, also known as RabL4 (Rab-like4), is a small GTPase-like component of the intraflagellar transport (IFT) complex B that promotes the exit of the BBSome complex from cilia via its interaction with ARL6 [PMID: 25446516]. It is capable of forming a heterodimer with IFT25 (HSPB11) [PMID: 21505417, PMID: 19412537] and is involved in the hedgehog (Hh) signaling pathway [PMID: 26023097].
