Description

Cartilage-associated protein (CASP or CRTAP) is part of the ER-resident collagen prolyl 3-hydroxylation complex. It is required for fibrillar collagen prolyl 3- hydroxylation. The deficiency of CRTAP causes recessive osteogenesis imperfecta, a major cause of brittle bone disease [PMID: 17055431, PMID: 21955071].
