Family relationships

RabGAP1 (also known as GAPCenA) is a GTPase activating protein that targets Rab6 [PMID: 10202141] and binds Rab36 [PMID: 20070612]. It is is mainly cytosolic but that a minor pool is associated with the centrosome [PMID: 10202141]. GAPCenA consists of an N-terminal phosphotyrosine binding (PTB) domain, a central TBC domain, and a C-terminal CC domain. It binds Rab36 via the N-terminal PTB domain [PMID: 20070612]. It is involved in the metaphase/anaphase transition [PMID: 16395330].
