Short name: SDCBP

Family relationships

Syntenin-1 was originally identified as a syndecan-binding PDZ protein [PMID: 9391086]. Later, Syntenin-1 is found to be a scaffolding protein that interacts with several membrane receptors, such as the lymphocyte receptor CD6 and the interleukin 5 (IL-5) receptor [PMID: 11179419, PMID: 16034076, PMID: 11498591]. It has diverse cellular roles and is a regulator of tumor invasion and angiogenesis [PMID: 25219541, PMID: 25242117, PMID: 25505176]. Its structure has been solved [PMID: 12679023].
