Short name: ATP9A

Family relationships

Probable phospholipid-transporting ATPase IIA (also known as ATP9A) belongs to the IV subfamily of the P-type ATPases (P4-ATPase) family, whose members transport phospholipids across the membrane. ATP9A localises to the both endosomes and the trans-Golgi network (TGN) [PMID: 23103747]. It is able to exit the ER in the absence of exogenous CDC50 expression [PMID: 21914794].
