Family relationships

Necdin is neuron growth suppressor [PMID: 9422723, PMID: 10347180]. It is expressed predominantly in postmitotic neurons, and is implicated in their terminal differentiation. Necdin interacts with many regulatory proteins, such as E2F family proteins and p53. This suggests that Necdin is a multifunctional protein [PMID: 9422723, PMID: 18753379].
