Melanoma-associated antigen D1 (IPR030083)

Short name: MAGED1

Overlapping homologous superfamilies

Family relationships

The melanoma antigen (MAGE) protein family contains more than 25 members that share a conserved MAGE homology domain (MHD). MAGED1 plays a role in anti-tumorigenesis in a variety of cell types and is involved in regulating circadian clock functions [PMID: 21612333, PMID: 20300063]. It also plays important roles in the central nervous system in both developmental and adult stages [PMID: 23314527].
