Family relationships

Myelin protein zero-like protein 1 (MPZL1 or PZR) is a cell surface protein containing two immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs (ITIMs) [PMID: 18568953]. It binds tyrosine phosphatase SHP-2 and is a putative substrate of SHP-2 [PMID: 10681522]. It also binds to concanavalin-A (ConA) and is involved in cellular signalling induced by ConA [PMID: 11751924].
