cAMP-dependent transcription factor ATF-5 (IPR029855)

Short name: ATF5

Overlapping homologous superfamilies

Family relationships

cAMP-dependent transcription factor ATF-5 belongs to the ATF/cAMP-response element-binding protein family [PMID: 18055463]. It is a basic zipper transcriptional regulator that is induced in response to many different stresses [PMID: 18195013]. Its translation is regulated by the 5'-untranslated region of its mRNA [PMID: 23876217]. It may play a role in protecting cells from amino acid limitation or arsenite-induced oxidative stress [PMID: 18055463].
