Family relationships

Cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 1C (CDKN1C, also known p57Kip2) is a cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor that inhibits cell-cycle progression [PMID: 7729683, PMID: 11218061]. CDKN1C contains a PCNA-binding domain. Mutations in the PCNA-binding domain of CDKN1C cause IMAGe syndrome, which is an undergrowth developmental disorder with life-threatening consequences [PMID: 22735584].
