Spindlin-2 (IPR029564)

Short name: SPIN-2

Family relationships

Spindlin-2 (SPIN-2) is a nuclear protein that regulates cell cycle progression. Overexpression of SPIN-2 slows cell cycle progression and increases the percentage of cells in G2/M phase. This effect of SPIN-2 appears to be linked to its anti-apoptotic activity [PMID: 12145692].
