Description

Periphilin-1 (Pphln1) is a component of the HUSH complex, a multiprotein complex that mediates epigenetic repression [PMID: 26022416]. It is involved in epithelial differentiation and contributes to epidermal integrity and barrier formation [PMID: 12853457]. It is associated with gastric cancer [PMID: 12087473]. Periphilin may act as transcriptional co-repressor involved in cell cycle progression [PMID: 17963697].
