Family relationships

Lymphoid enhancer-binding factor 1 (LEF-1) belongs to the LEF-1/TCFs (T cell factors) family of transcription factors [PMID: 10209158]. LEF-1 participates in the Wnt signalling pathway, performing its function in complexes with beta-catenin [PMID: 10756202, PMID: 10933391, PMID: 16678815]. LEF-1 may also acquire diverse regulatory functions by association with Wnt/beta-catenin-independent stimuli, such as the TGF-beta and Notch pathways [PMID: 14691138, PMID: 11604490].
