Epsin-2 belongs to the Epsin family, whose members contain a conserved ENTH (epsin N-terminal homology) domain. Epsin-2 plays a role in the formation of clathrin-coated invaginations and endocytosis [PMID: 10567358]. It is associated with clathrin-coated vesicles, and particularly concentrated in the region of the Golgi complex. Epsin-2 is highly expressed in human brain [PMID: 10567358].
