Description

Leucine-rich repeat and fibronectin type-III domain-containing protein 5 (also known as SALM5) is a cell adhesion molecule that mediates homophilic cell-cell adhesion in a Ca2+-independent manner. It promotes neurite outgrowth in hippocampal neurons [PMID: 18227064, PMID: 18585462].
