Bcl-2-associated transcription factor 1 (Btf) is a death-promoting transcriptional repressor that has been shown to interact with Bcl-2 and Bcl-XL [PMID: 10330179]. It is involved in the proapoptotic C16-ceramide-dependent pathway [PMID: 19705920]. Btf's regulation by PKC-delta also has a critical role in determining cell fate with DNA damage [PMID: 17938203].
