Family relationships

This family describes a branch of the aldehyde dehydrogenase (NAD) family that includes Rv0768 from Mycobacterium tuberculosis. All members of this family belong to species predicted to synthesise mycofactocin, suggesting that this enzyme or another upstream or downstream in the same pathway might be mycofactocin-dependent. However, the taxonomic range of this family is not nearly broad enough to make that relationship conclusive.
