G patch domain-containing protein 2 (IPR026291)

Short name: Gpatch2

Family relationships

None.

Description

The G-patch domain [PMID: 10470032] is a short conserved region of about 40 amino acids which occurs in a number of putative RNA-binding proteins, including tumor suppressor and DNA-damage-repair proteins, suggesting that it may have an RNA binding function. This domain is also found in type D retroviral polyproteins.
