This entry represents mitochondrial ribonuclease P protein 1 (MRPP1), also known as RNA (guanine-9-)-methyltransferase domain-containing protein 1 (RG9MTD1), which is a vertebrate homologue to yeast TRM10, a tRNA m1G methyltransferase responsible for modification at position 9. MRPP1/RG9MTD1 appears to contribute to mtRNase P specific tRNA-binding capacity [PMID: 18984158].
