Glucose receptor Git3, N-terminal (IPR023041)

Short name: Glucose_rcpt_Git3_N

Domain relationships

This entry contains a functionally uncharacterised region belonging to the Git3 G-protein coupled receptor. Git3 is one of six proteins required for glucose-triggered adenylate cyclase activation, and is a G protein-coupled receptor responsible for the activation of adenylate cyclase through Gpa2 - heterotrimeric G protein alpha subunit, part of the glucose-detection pathway. Git3 contains seven predicted transmembrane domains, a third cytoplasmic loop and a cytoplasmic tail [PMID: 11014802]. This is the conserved N-terminal domain of the member proteins.
