Transcription factor, T-box, region of unknown function (IPR022582)

Short name: TBX

Domain relationships

This eukaryotic region of unknown function is typically between 77 and 89 amino acids in length. It is found C-terminal to the T-box DNA binding domain PF00907. This region contains two completely conserved residues (S and P) that may be functionally important. T-box genes are highly conserved and encode transcription factors that are involved in morphogenesis and organogenesis of both invertebrates and vertebrates [PMID: 8597636],[PMID: 8530034].
