Domain

Trafficking kinesin-binding protein domain (IPR022154)

Short name: Traffickng_kinesin-bd_prot_dom

Domain relationships

None.

Description

This domain is found in eukaryotic trafficking kinesin-binding proteins, which have been shown to be involved in the regulation of endosome-to-lysosome trafficking, including endocytic trafficking of EGF-EGFR complexes and GABA-A receptors in mammals [PMID: 18675823]. They are also important for kinesin-mediated axonal transport of mitochondria to nerve terminals in Drosophila [PMID: 12495622].
