Elf (E74-like-factor) is a subfamily of the ETS transcription factor family [PMID: 11715049]. Elf-1 is an immune cell specific transcription factor. It is found in T cells, B cells, megakaryocytes, and mast cells and is involved in the control of transcription for various immune proteins [PMID: 11210123]. Included in the Elf subfamily are also Elf-2 (NERF) [PMID: 8756667] and Elf4 (MEF) [PMID: 19412182].

This entry represents a domain found in the N terminus of Elf transcription factors. It is approximately 110 amino acids in length and is found in association with PF00178. It contains a conserved PAVIVE sequence motif.
