Description

Rfm1 is a DNA-binding protein required for vegetative repression of middle sporulation genes. It acts as a specificity factor that directs the Hst1p histone deacetylase to some of the promoters regulated by Sum1 [PMID: 12612074]. Rfm1 is also involved in telomere maintenance [PMID: 15161972].
