This superfamily represents a structural domain found in ArgJ, a bifunctional protein that catalyses the first (EC:18.104.22.168) and fifth (EC:22.214.171.124) steps in arginine biosynthesis [PMID: 8473852]. The domain also occurs in a number of proteins annotated as DmpA serine peptidases.
