The Obg family comprises a group of ancient P-loop small G proteins (GTPases) belonging to the TRAFAC (for translation factors) class and can be subdivided into several distinct protein subfamilies [PMID: 17430889]. OBG GTPases have been found in both prokaryotes and eukaryotes [PMID: 15827604]. The structure of the OBG GTPase from Thermus thermophilus has been determined [PMID: 15019792].

This entry represents a C-terminal domain found in certain OBG GTPases. This domain contains a four-stranded beta sheet and three alpha helices flanked by an additional beta strand. It is predominantly found in the bacterial GTP-binding protein Obg, and is functionally uncharacterised.
