Family relationships

Members of this entry, which includes the Bacillus subtilis protein YsxE, are found only in the family Bacillaceae, part of the the endospore-forming group within the Firmicutes. As a rule, the ysxE gene is found immediately downstream of spoVID, a gene necessary for spore coat assembly.
