GTP-binding protein LepA, C-terminal (IPR013842)

Short name: LepA_GTP-bd_C

Domain relationships

LepA (GUF1 in Saccaromyces) is a GTP-binding membrane protein related to EF-G and EF-Tu. Two types of phylogenetic tree, rooted by other GTP-binding proteins, suggest that eukaryotic homologues (including GUF1 of yeast) originated within the bacterial LepA family. The function of the proteins in this family is unknown.

This entry represents the C-terminal region of these proteins [PMID: 11489118].
