Short name: Beta-grasp_dom_sf

Overlapping entries

This superfamily represents a domain with a beta-grasp fold and a core structure consisting of beta(2)-alpha-beta(2), which is similar to that found in ubiquitin [PMID: 16859499]. Domains with this type of structure are found in the 2Fe-2S ferredoxin family (including putidaredoxin and adrenodoxin) [PMID: 15755454], the 2Fe-2S ferredoxin-related family (including aldehyde reductase, and xanthine dehydrogenase) [PMID: 11713686], the TGS family (including threonyl-tRNA synthetase) [PMID: 10319817] and the MoaD/ThiS family (including molybdopterin, and thiamine biosynthesis sulphur carrier protein) [PMID: 16388576].
