B-cell receptor-associated protein 29/31 (IPR008417)

Short name: BAP29/BAP31

Overlapping homologous superfamilies

Family relationships

The mammalian B-cell receptor-associated proteins of 29 and 31kDa (BAP29 and BAP31) are integral membrane proteins with a role in endoplasmic reticulum (ER) quality control and sorting [PMID: 9396746, PMID: 17056546, PMID: 15187134]. BAP31 is also involved in apoptosis [PMID: 21183955]. Saccharomyces cerevisiae possesses three homologues of BAP31 known as Yet1, Yet2, and Yet3 [PMID: 20378542].
