Arsenite-resistance protein 2 (IPR007042)

Short name: Arsenite-R_2

Domain relationships

This entry represents Arsenite-resistance protein 2 (also known as Serrate RNA effector molecule homolog) which is thought to play a role in arsenite resistance [PMID: 10069470], although does not directly confer arsenite resistance but rather modulates arsenic sensitivity [PMID: 19632182]. Arsenite is a carcinogenic compound which can act as a comutagen by inhibiting DNA repair. It is also involved in cell cycle progression at S phase.
