Secretory protein YscJ/FliF (IPR006182)

Short name: YscJ_FliF

Overlapping homologous superfamilies

Domain relationships

This domain is found in proteins that are related to the YscJ lipoprotein, where it covers most of the sequence, and the flagellar M-ring protein FliF, where it covers the N-terminal region. The members of the YscJ family are thought to be involved in secretion of several proteins. The FliF protein ring is thought to be part of the export apparatus for flagellar proteins, based on the similarity to YscJ proteins [PMID: 10049798].
