Arterivirus glycoprotein (IPR003412)

Short name: Art_glycop

Family relationships

Arteriviruses are small, enveloped, animal viruses with an icosahedral core containing a positive-sense RNA genome. The arteriviruses are highly species specific, but share many biological and molecular properties, including virion morphology, a unique set of structural proteins, genome organisation and replication strategy. The membrane glycoprotein GP5 is found in the porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) [PMID: 18336924].This is a family of structural glycoproteins from Arteriviridae that corresponds to open reading frame 4 (ORF4) of the virus.
