Abstract

This family consists of several ICEA proteins from Helicobacter pylori, infection of which causes gastritis and peptic ulcer disease, and the bacteria is classified as a definite carcinogen of gastric cancer. ICEA1 is speculated to be associated with peptic ulcer disease and may have endonuclease activity [1].
